At least 30 people have been killed in Dhaka

At least 30 people have been killed and hundreds are feared trapped after an eight-storey building collapsed in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, emergency services say.

Frantic efforts are under way to rescue those beneath the debris. At least 200 were injured by the collapse.
The army is helping with the rescue operation on the outskirts of Dhaka.
Building collapses are common in Bangladesh where many multi-storey blocks are built in violation of rules.
The eight-storey building contained a clothing factory, a bank and several other shops. It collapsed during the morning rush hour.
Many people have gathered near the scene looking for friends and relatives.
The BBC's Anbarasan Ethirajan, in Dhaka, says that it is not yet clear what caused the collapse but local media reports said a crack was detected in the block on Tuesday.

PIECE OF ART

The Notes on Dora Maar au Chat was painted by Picasso in 1941. It is an oil painting and it shows a girl. It depicts Dora Maar, the painter’s lover, seated on a chair with a small cat perched on her shoulders. This work is one of the world’s most expensive paintings.

This type of work is typical of cubism, an art movement which started in France in the 1907s. In Cubist artwork, objects are analyzed, broken up and reassembled and the artist depicts the subject from a multitude of viewpoints to represent the subject in a greater context.

The Notes on Dora Maar au Chat was first exhibited in 2005, where it was bought for $95 million. But now it is owned by private collector.

THREE METERS ABOVE THE SKY

I'd like to recommend a book which I read this year, called Three Meters Above the Sky. The author of the book is Federico Moccia.

The book is a drama and the setting is nowadays Italy. The main characters are two teenagers. Babi is the daughter of a rich family. She is a good student and a good girl, Step is the opposite.

The things I liked most about the book were the kind of relationship between Babi and Step. Some of the scenes are about fighting or careers of motorbikes so there is violence.

All in all, I really liked the novel, although it hasn't got a happy ending, but I wouldn't change it. Also there is the film, with the Spanish actors: Mario Casas and Maria Valverde. It's great and I prefer the film because I love Mario Casas.

In my opinion the internet addiction isn't a problem while the people are having a good time there, I think; internet is the place where people go when they're bored so they can have a very good time with a lot of things there.

I use the internet very often, almost every day but I usually use it for the facebook, youtube, blogs, wikispaces... and homework.

I think that internet is less addictive than TV, because when you watch the television you don't do anything... and with the adverts and series, films, you see more than you wanted. I know some persons who use the internet a lot, and it isn't good, because they have problems with the eyes.

If people are using the internet too much they can do some things that help them with this problem. For example: They can go outside to play sports and walk in the nature...But the best thing they can do is to go with a specialist to help them better.
